Interactive Sectional Chart Trainer

The Part 107 knowledge test hands you sectional chart excerpts and expects fluency. This trainer loads the real FAA VFR sectional raster inside a pannable map, then walks you through drills anchored to actual chart locations so symbology becomes recognition instead of memorization.

What you practice

Identifying Class B, C, D, E, and G airspace from chart ink alone. Reading the segmented magenta and blue boundaries that mark surface area versus shelf. Converting charted MSL ceilings and floors into the 400 feet AGL limit that Part 107 gives you. Locating UAS facility map grid values that tell you what LAANC will approve. Spotting military operations areas, restricted areas, and special use airspace before you plan a flight.

How the drills work

Each drill drops you at a real coordinate such as Leesburg Executive, Falcon Field, Austin Bergstrom, or San Diego. You answer questions about the airspace under the marker, then get a plain language explanation of the reasoning a checkride examiner would expect. A symbol library and an altitude converter sit alongside the map for reference while you work.
